First thing we did for this trip is to have our Peso changed to Singaporean dollars so that we will no longer look for a money changer once we arrive in singapore. Saves time and money.
we booked our Singapore tickets 10 months prior to our trip, we got the tickets for only P18,479.12 only. mind you, this is a back and forth ticket from clark-singapore, with 4 persons included in this trip. ticket already included baggage allowances and other charges. that makes it P4619.78 per head, per trp per head, it only cost P2309.89. Imagine, this fare is just a local fare, but ours is an international trip!
hahaha.
we looked through the internet and made reservation at rucksack inn lavander 2 months before our trip. We decided to get this place because the reviews from their former guests are impressive plus everytime I email them for informations, they gave us prompt answers, plus one of the staff there is Ed, a pinoy, was very warm and accommodating. The room we got is a 1 double decker and a double bed- it is called a quad room and we got the reservation for only s$40.80 which is the 10% of the total amount. Remaining balance must be paid upon check-in. We stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. We checked their facilities and its all good, they have free breakfast but their drinks and bread is displayed all day, you can eat and drink coffee/tea anytime! Restrooms are clean, shampoo and liquid soaps are provided, free and fast internet using mac, wifi is also available even in your room. Aircon is strong and bed is really comfortable. Transportation is just outside your doorstep. The whole area is clean and staffs are really friendly and helpful especially Ed.

For our 1st day, we went at the Singapore Flyer. The kids really wanted to experience the highest ferris wheel in the world. And so We paid the tickets online. At that time, they had a promo of Happy Hour Singapore Sling, 2 adults costs S$69.00, we are four in the group, we got 2 of these so we paid half the price! Plus, we got a free cocktail served at the Flyer so that you can have your drink while enjoying the view in Singapore! The ride will take you 30 minutes, so its not scary. During the day, you will see the 360 degrees of the natural view around, while at night, you will see the city lights and its all colorful!
I suggest you get the 630 flight so you can see both worlds

From the flyer, you will see singapore's most tourist attractions/structures. You will definitely love the view.

Just a few blocks away, you will pass by the Helix Bridge, then the Marina Bay Sands. Across that is a river and at the end of it you will find the Merlion. The kids was too tired to go so we decided to eat at a Hawkers place nearby. There is a light and water show at around 8pm so i guess the best view to see it is across Marina Bay, not at the Hawkers side.

We bought tickets online too. 3-1 park hopper gives you discount for the animal theme parks: Jurong Bird park, Singapore zoo and Night safari, For this 3-1 park hopper fees are as follows: adult:58, child:38. Buying this separately will cost you as follows: Jurong bird park-adult:18, child:12, singapore zoo -adult: 20, child:13, night safari-adult:32, child:21. We saved S$40 for this. We printed the ticket and yes, the paper based ticket works!:D they just scan it. Singapore zoo and Night safari are just besides each other, however People are discouraging us to go to these 3 parks in one day since jurong is "far" from the two parks. But since we had no choice because of lack of time, we decided to still to go. and good thing we arrived at Jurong in less than an hour, just more than 30 minutes I think.

For our 2nd day, we decided to have an animal park day.8am-12noon at jurong, 12noon -1pm we had lunch inside the jurong at the bongo burgers, there are alot of restaurants there, 1pm-pm at singapore zoo, 6pm-7pm for dinner at kfc at singapore zoo, and 7-10 for the night safari adventure. There is actually an airconditioned bus/coaster waiting outside the jurong park. you can inquire at the information center for the schedule of travels going to the singapore zoo if your planning to go in the afternoon. They charge you $2.00 for each child, and adults at $4.Going to these park is really tiring. The parks were huge and are really tiring especially for the kids. It is a must to bring water, extra clothes, caps/umbrella. wear light clothes and comfortable shoes or sandals. The shows for these parks are entertaining indeed! For the Jurong Bird park, the shows include Birds n Buddies and Kings of the Skies show.Make your kids volunteer for their activities, they will surely get a price! At the Singapore zoo, shows that we were able to catch were Elephants at work and Splash safari. These two shows are funny! You will get wet especially if you are near the stage! Why? you will know when you get there! we missed the other shows like rainforest fights back and animal friends show. When we were at the Night Safari, we first watched the thumbuakar cultural dance show. I remember one foreigner who volunteered at the last part of the show and the dancers left him while he was blind folded! hahaha. But the most memorable show for me was the Creatures of the night show! i felt scared with one of their script which i thought was real, not only that, they asked for a volunteer and i pointed out to my companion as their volunteer. It turns out that they got me instead. What happened was that they have a snake and they placed it in my neck, then the lights were turned off and i was left alone in the stage!hahaha! good thing, this wasnt the first anaconda experience I had! I got to experience having an albino snake in my neck while we were at Bohol. Too bad we ran out of battery, I wasnt able to get pictures anymore, though they gave me a souveneir, a snake stuff toy!hehe. A lot of the hosts here are pinoy. It was such a wonderful experience seeing the animals living in their sanctuary, unafraid of the tourists and seeing how smart they are and knowing what they are capable of doing.
Oh by the way, while in night safari, no flash is allowed, so maybe you can bring a camera that is good also even without lights.
